Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

Account information: name, email address, and password (stored hashed).
Resume & career data: the CV documents you upload, target job descriptions, and any edits or patches you make in the app.
Payment information: mobile money number and transaction references used to verify payment. We do not store your mobile money PIN.
Usage data: pages visited, features used, and device/browser information, used to keep the Service reliable and secure.

2. How we use your data

To generate your match score, gap report, resume suggestions, and matched job listings.
To process payments and manage your credits.
To send account, verification, and payment-related emails or WhatsApp messages.
To fix bugs, improve the Service, and keep it secure.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your CV content to train third-party advertising profiles.

3. Sharing with third parties

To provide the Service, limited data is shared with:

AI processing providers, to analyse your CV against a job description and generate suggestions.
Job listing providers, to fetch roles that may match your profile.
Payment processors, to verify mobile money transactions.

These providers only receive the data needed to perform their function and are not permitted to use it for their own marketing purposes.

4. Where your data is stored

Your account data and uploaded documents are stored on secured servers and are only accessible to your authenticated account and to CareerFit staff who need it to operate or support the Service.

5. How long we keep your data

We retain your account and resume data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data and uploaded documents within a reasonable period, except where we are required to keep transaction records for accounting or legal purposes.

6. Your rights

Access the personal data we hold about you.
Request correction of inaccurate data.
Request deletion of your account and associated data.
Withdraw consent for optional communications at any time.

7. Children

CareerFit is intended for job seekers aged 18 and above and is not directed at children.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
